Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based therapeutic method primarily used for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). At its core, ABA involves observing behavior, teaching new skills, and reducing problem behaviors like tantrums, hitting, and screaming.
ABA therapists meticulously analyze behavior patterns through systematic observation to understand the triggers and functions of challenging behaviors. By identifying the underlying causes, they can develop effective interventions tailored to each individual's unique needs and abilities. ABA's goal is to facilitate positive changes in behavior and improve the individual's overall quality of life.
